Misplaced Songs - 2/4/11 - "I Like You So Much Better When You're Naked"

For this week's misplaced song we travel to the land of Norway which is apparently filled with energetic female singers.

Today's song is by Norwegian artist Ida Maria. Her debut album is called Fortress Round My Heart and did quite well in the UK in 2008. It made a tiny dent here as some of her songs have been featured in the soundtrack of TV shows as well as commercials.

The song featured here, "I Like You So Much Better When You're Naked" is full of punk energy. It's driven hard by the drumbeat. The song's about a woman who's nervous around her future conquest but doesn't really understand why since he's not that special except for his sexiness. Which is why she likes him so much better when he's naked. I'm very fond of the lyric "I like me so much better when you're naked" and hope to use it frequently.*

*Not likely.

I'm not entirely sure how I was introduced to this artist but I think it was in the weekly email I get from Jam Productions about area concerts. It includes a free download and I think this was the free download. If you like this song I also recommend the song "Oh My God." I bet you'll hear both of these in movies and TV shows. Anyway, here's a song which I think is really fun.
